We live Bikeleasing: Our colleague Jens will take you through the beautiful Solling. You can learn the exact route on komoot, where you will soon find more tips for tours and round trips from us. That’s our commitment to service – let’s go!

On our first tour, we will get off to a fast start with long climbs and rapid descents, because our colleague Jens (you can find him on our Komoot profile, with our colleague Julian in the cover picture) has been touring for you on his speed bike. The hard facts:

  • Bike type: racing bike
  • Model: Cube Litening C:68X Race (2021)
    with SRAM Force AXS gearing
    (not depicted here)
  • Degree of difficulty: very difficult
  • Distance: 85 km
  • Ascent: 1150 m
  • Descent: 1160 m

This route is something for advanced racing bike riders; it requires a considerable amount of stamina and includes unpaved roads that are quite challenging to ride. However, the excitement reflected in Jens’s tour description won us over: This route is a top tip that we are happy to share with you on komoot.

Jens shares his favorite tour

The tour starts at the Bikeleasing headquarters in Uslar. After a few kilometers, the route turns off at an angle, taking a gentle climb through enchanting forests, which is the ideal warm-up for the 85 km tour. After another 4 km, the first highlight awaits you: With its tarmac surface designed for high speed, the trail winding downhill towards Rellihausen will give you the first major flush of adrenalin.

On the next stretch, you have to make up for the altitude loss: Behind Dassel, there’s a long, steep climb with an average gradient of 8.6%, which takes you to the highest point of the route in the Hochsolling. Passing the Große Blöse at the Torfhaus, you then head for Boffzen. Over a narrow and winding route, it’ downhill again at speed.

We recommend that you take a short breather at Fürstenberg Castle or the porcelain manufactory. The route continues through a low-traffic wooded area. Not only racing cyclists appreciate the magnificent nature of the next stretch: The route to Winnefeld in the direction of Neuhaus is closed to cars and motorcycles. That means it’s all yours on a smoothly paved road!

The grand finale begins with a final descent that lets you return to the starting point at “full throttle.”

Take a deep breath and get off the saddle – you did it!
