Questions and answers regarding follow-on leasing
It depends: If the follow-up lease is intended to commence immediately after the current lease ends, the new lease application may only be submitted in the same month the existing contract expires. At that point, the new company bike may also be handed over, and all the benefits of bike leasing can be used: The bike is insured immediately upon pickup, and the official contract start date is the first day of the following month – from then on, the new lease runs for another full 36 or 48 months. However, the following applies in general: If your employer allows you to lease and use more than one company bike, and you are currently using only one, you may submit a second lease application at any time.
No, you cannot. At the end of the lease term, you are free to decide whether to buy or return your company bike. Yon cannot extend the expiring lease of your existing company bike.
Yes, a bicycle lock must be leased with every company bike, including follow-up leases.
When you have registered as a user in the Bikeleasing portal, you will receive an e-mail from us that includes your personal Bikeleasing user ID. You will find this ID on the cover sheet of the Transfer Agreement as well as in most mails related your lease. If you cannot find your Bikeleasing user ID in any of these documents, our support team is happy to help.
Good to know: You only need one Bikeleasing user ID even when using multiple company bikes or for the follow-up lease option.
