Bikeleasing now available to Bavaria’s metal and electrical companies bound by collective bargaining agreements

Collective agreement envisaged bike leasing option for employees in the metal and electrical industry in Bavaria

With the “Collective Agreement on Salary Conversion for the Purpose of Bicycle Leasing in the Bavarian Metal and Electrical Industry”, the collective bargaining parties in the Bavarian metal and electrical industry have opened up the option for companies bound by collective agreements to offer their employees company bicycle leasing by way of salary conversion. In addition to the associated collective bargaining agreement, this requires a voluntary company agreement to be reached between the employer and the works council.

With a membership roll of around 845,000 employees, the Bavarian metal and electrical industry is the largest collective bargaining entity of IG Metall Bayern. We are all the more pleased that the players have agreed to open up the relevant collective agreements to company bike leasing via salary conversion.
