We don't leave employers out in the cold

If the employee decides against transferring or taking over the company bike in the event of a change of company, employers can simply return the bike. A return is also possible in the event of termination by the employer, a termination agreement, disability or the death of the employee. We explain the procedures below.

Return procedure for company bicycles in the event of death

When a colleague passes away or suffers a fatal accident, there is great consternation in the company. Sometimes things come to a different end than we would have wished. That's why the death of an employee is also covered by our default insurance. To give family members the space they need during this time, employers have the option of handing over the bike themselves. Otherwise, the return procedure is as follows:

  • Notification is made via the Bikeleasing portal as soon as it is known
  • Required documents: death certificate
  • If the death certificate is not yet available, it is possible to upload a blank document and indicate in the comments field that the death certificate will be submitted later

2. Dispatch of the return confirmation

  • Bikeleasing-Service sends the return confirmation to the employer and specialist dealer
  • If the bike is returned by the surviving dependants, please forward the return confirmation accordingly
  • After receiving the return confirmation, the appointment can be arranged with the specialist dealer

3. Return of the company bike

  • The company bike must be returned on the agreed date in a proper and complete condition (including leased accessories such as charger, display, lock, keys, etc.)

4. Confirmation of return to Bikeleasing-Service
