The trend toward e-bikes continues unabated. But it is not only the means of transportation that is booming: The number of accidents involving e-bikes is also increasing. It’s high time to take a closer look at e-bike safety and look at measures that you can take as an e-bike user to reduce your personal risk of accidents.

Good news from northern Germany: As of July 16, 2022, numerous companies in Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Schleswig-Holstein and northwestern Lower Saxony that are bound by collective agreements will be entitled to offer their employees company bike leasing via salary conversion. This was agreed by IG Metall Küste and the Nordmetall Employer’s Association.

Anyone who travels by car a lot currently feels a painful pinch in their wallet. The more the cost of gasoline and diesel fuel increases, the more money you can save by reducing your personal fuel consumption. How can you do it? By ditching your car and switching to a company bike, for instance. And the best thing is that with company bike leasing, you not only save on high fuel costs, but also get your dream bike at particularly attractive conditions.

According to the Climate Protection Act (Klimaschutzgesetz, KSG), the Federal Republic of Germany is obliged to reduce its CO2 emissions by a third by 2030. At around 94%, road traffic contributes by far the largest share of total traffic emissions. The Bundesverband Zukunft Fahrrad (BVFZ) would like to tackle this situation; it is campaigning for more support of cargo bikes and the underlying infrastructure.
